According to Holosun it is compatible with any "MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny accessory rail". The SHR9 is a MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny accessory rail so it should work. As far as a compatible holster, we recommend MIE Holsters. They make customized holsters for most gun/light combinations. We carry their Javelin holster here which can be bundled with and is compatible with any of the lights we carry.
2/24/24 Greetings; Taken from a review on Amazon concerning a question. “If there are any inexpensive lights that fit the Recover Tactical rail? “Recover Tactical” apparently referred a customer to a link directly to “Ade Advanced Optics PL200 light.” He bought the Recover Tactical rail. Thinking he hit the jackpot for an entry-level light, he also purchased the ADE light. It was very reasonably priced, simple, including a 400-lumen light. Quote; “But it does NOT FIT ON THIS RAIL!!! I thought maybe a design change, but no, the Q&A was from just a month before I ordered both. I considered returning the light, but the cheapest light on the compatible list for this rail is (as of this writing) 2.5 times the price and this one. At least it can be used for other things as well. I was able to get an inexpensive “riser” that allows the light to work.” (He did not list what he found?) After about a half day of searching, I could not find anything except what was written above. I ran across the above reference. All excited, I even had my card in hand. My purchasing question is the same as the listed above, “Is there an inexpensive starter light that fits the Recover Tactical rail for a M&P Shield 9? I'm 82, spent 4 years in the Marine Corps. I simply can not afford an expensive lite for my Shield! The above is listed #4 from the top start of the “Recover Tactical rail reviews containing hundreds of excellent reviews.” (Few Shields. Hi Dale, I can't comment on what our reseller on Amazon recommended for compatibility. You'd have to ask them directly. However, I can see that the light they recommended is Picatinny rail compatible. All our rails are Picatinny so based on that it should work. I don't know why it didn't work for the person who had an issue. I also don't have any personal familiarity with lights in your budget so I can't make a specific recommendation. In general, our rails will work with 99% of Picatinny rail-mounted lights. There is the occasional exception. The cheapest light we carry is the Olight PL Mini 2 at $89.95.

Really depends on the fit of the holster. The rail is a very snug fit so I wouldn't be surprised if it worked out but I can't say for sure.
Will this work w/ the s&w m&p 380 shield ez with a Sniper 5009R low profile laser mounted on the rail? I’m not sure what other laser setups that you have listed are similar in size & shape as the Sniper. I’m looking to get an OWB paddle holster for my wife’s gun with the Sniper laser.

While SHR9 is not compatible with S&W M&P 380 Shield EZ, you don't need it since S&W M&P 380 Shield EZ has a built-in Picatinny rail so Sniper 5009R should be compatible out of the box. We do have an OWB paddle-style (our G7 holster) holster but I don't think it will be compatible since it only works with full-sized Picatinny rails and the S&W M&P 380 Shield EZ is compact so the rail may not be long enough.

Yes, it will fit, and it can accommodate the TLR models you mentioned with the addition of this key.
Will a TLR 7 sub 1913 fit this rail without a key? I saw on previous question you stated that the TLR-7A would need the key but didn’t see anything about the sub. I have a TLR-7 sub sig but it does not work with the rail, even when using the key.

I use the attachment to place a light on my nightstand pistol, and when I want to take the pistol with me, I must remove the attachment and light for it to fit in a holster. Are there any holsters made to fit the Recovery SHR9 attachment and a light? If not, is there a better way to quickly remove the attachment screws and be able to quickly put it back on when I return home and want to place the pistol in my nightstand biometric vault?

We recommend and sell this one. If your light is not an option there, check out the "Holsters" tab above on this page for more suppliers who sell compatible holsters. Removal of the rail is simple but there is no faster way than using an allen key and screwing/unscrewing the screw that I'm aware of.

The one problem I have with the shield line is that there are crap for lighting offerings. I bought this for my brand new hotness, Shield plus performance center ported 4″ with holosun 507c x2. I wasn’t interested in some bs 100lumen light even though I liked the streamline package so I opted for this and a Baldr mini. Now I have a great gun and a usable light source thanks to this pic mount. I was able to order a custom holster for this package and I am really pleased with the entire package.

It’s the jam in PB and J. I built a shield for my girlfriend and she’s fairly new to the defense game and the shield is a small gun to begin with and there isn’t much to instinctly “hold onto” for a beginner and this rail adapter does just that for her trigger finger it gives her a proper placement before she’s ready to fire besides the fact it’s intended for a WML rail option. Holsters are tricky you have to do your research to find a brand that can do the trick but it’s possible. The bigger picture is you can mount a flashlight for self defense on a gun you otherwise could not mount a WML. Period. Get it.
