We haven't tested it with the S/W 40V and we can't confirm compatibility with that model.
will it work on a SW40F? If not are you able to make one because everybody is looking for one for it.
No, it is not compatible with the SW40F.
The SHR9 rail adapter is screwed onto the frame of the pistol. I’d like to know if I need to remove the rail adapter from the frame to perform maintenance on a Smith & Wesson Shield Plus.
No, the attachment is simply bolted onto the frame and will not interfere when removing the slide. You should be able to disassemble your firearm as usual without any issues.
Will it work on shield plus in 30 supper carry?
Yes, this will work with Shield Plus.

Will this fit a Holosun PI.D? Also any holster company recommendations for that set-up?
According to Holosun it is compatible with any "MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny accessory rail". The SHR9 is a MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny accessory rail so it should work. As far as a compatible holster, we recommend MIE Holsters. They make customized holsters for most gun/light combinations. We carry their Javelin holster here which can be bundled with and is compatible with any of the lights we carry.
2/24/24 Greetings; Taken from a review on Amazon concerning a question. “If there are any inexpensive lights that fit the Recover Tactical rail? “Recover Tactical” apparently referred a customer to a link directly to “Ade Advanced Optics PL200 light.” He bought the Recover Tactical rail. Thinking he hit the jackpot for an entry-level light, he also purchased the ADE light. It was very reasonably priced, simple, including a 400-lumen light. Quote; “But it does NOT FIT ON THIS RAIL!!! I thought maybe a design change, but no, the Q&A was from just a month before I ordered both. I considered returning the light, but the cheapest light on the compatible list for this rail is (as of this writing) 2.5 times the price and this one. At least it can be used for other things as well. I was able to get an inexpensive “riser” that allows the light to work.” (He did not list what he found?) After about a half day of searching, I could not find anything except what was written above. I ran across the above reference. All excited, I even had my card in hand. My purchasing question is the same as the listed above, “Is there an inexpensive starter light that fits the Recover Tactical rail for a M&P Shield 9? I'm 82, spent 4 years in the Marine Corps. I simply can not afford an expensive lite for my Shield! The above is listed #4 from the top start of the “Recover Tactical rail reviews containing hundreds of excellent reviews.” (Few Shields. Hi Dale, I can't comment on what our reseller on Amazon recommended for compatibility. You'd have to ask them directly. However, I can see that the light they recommended is Picatinny rail compatible. All our rails are Picatinny so based on that it should work. I don't know why it didn't work for the person who had an issue. I also don't have any personal familiarity with lights in your budget so I can't make a specific recommendation. In general, our rails will work with 99% of Picatinny rail-mounted lights. There is the occasional exception. The cheapest light we carry is the Olight PL Mini 2 at $89.95.

Fit my M&P shield 40 perfectly. The light I got is the olight PL mini 2 and it fits perfectly. Only thing I will point out is to be careful not to tighten the screws too much

The SHR9 rail fit my M&P9 Shield Plus perfectly, and it looks like part of the frame of the gun. I have the Olight PL-MINI 2 Valkyrie light and a MEI Artemis AIWB Light Bearing Holster. I am very pleased with this whole package.

The one problem I have with the shield line is that there are crap for lighting offerings. I bought this for my brand new hotness, Shield plus performance center ported 4" with holosun 507c x2. I wasn't interested in some bs 100lumen light even though I liked the streamline package so I opted for this and a Baldr mini. Now I have a great gun and a usable light source thanks to this pic mount. I was able to order a custom holster for this package and I am really pleased with the entire package.
