Recover Tactical CC3H Grip & Rail System for the 1911

For the most part this is a pretty easy install, however I did have to make some adjustments. First of all, there were bits of sprue (flash) that were not trimmed properly. This did effect the fit. After cutting and smoothing the bits, the product fit together better. Second, once assembled, there were gaps between the halves that will, no doubt, collect unburned powder residues, necessitating disassembly of the product. Whether the product will endure the removal and reassembly with every cleaning remains to be seen. Otherwise this product is one of the better of this type of device I have used.

I absolutely love this company! With this grip and rail system, I was able to equip my 1911 Colt gov. With a light and modern holster. I’ve completely modernized a classic and I love it. The fit and finish are great and the look is classy. Totally worth the 40 bucks!

I am Happy with the results although I had to shave the top of both sides down a bit as on the left side it was too tall to fit under the plunger tube . Once I got that side on and went to the other side it popped right on, however the right side was also too tall as it effectively locked the slide in place so I shaved that down as well and it works great. Would recommend it to anyone who isn't afraid to make it work. Rock Island Armory 45. They sell your products on their page but I wasn't keen on a pink one.

I have a completed 80% 1911 frame that I wasn't sure what I was going to build. Then I received an email from Recover Tactical featuring this grip & rail set. That got me going on the 1911 build again. Fitment is great and I'm excited to move forward with the project.

This is a handy setup to add lights and what ever else requires a rail on non railed 1911’s. Install was easy. My only 2 problems and they are not complaints is it was a little fatter than I expected, but then I have small hands. Also I think it should have a more grippy texture. A little too slippery for small hands in my opinion. But we’ll worth the price vs buying a gun with a rail. Fit was also good.

My project is a little different as I got the CC3H Grip and Rail System for a LLAMA 9MM PARABELLUM that I inherited. I know very well what this gun is and the challenges that it presents, one of them being that the grips are not standard 1911 shape and the fasteners are in different location. I chose to take the time to make the CC3H Grip and Rail System fit as this gun will be enjoyed at the range and nothing more. The fit and finish on the grip system is excellent and the polymer is very robust. I have spent over an hour filing on them to make the shape changes needed and am impressed that I have found no voids nor had problems with chipping. This product has given new life to an old gun and I look forward to many years of enjoyment with it.

I was looking for a rail solution for my Kimber Stainless 11 1911 in 45acp,with 5.25 inch barrel. I discovered the Recover Tactical CC3H Grip and Rail System online and thought it looked like it would be a good solution. I ordered on the website and in just a couple days I had it in my hand, very quick and easy. The only issue I experienced during install was trying to remove one of my factory Kimber screws from the factory grip...the Recover grip install is awesome and easy, took maybe 2-3 minutes and it fits and feels absolutely perfect. The front strap of my Kimber has no grip or stippling but the Recover Grip does so that is one very welcome improvement. Another improvement the grip provides is the cut out at the mag eject button. With my stock rosewood grip they were round and I could not reliably eject the mag with one hand. Now I can perfectly every time and the grip fits my hand way better, it is thinner and flatter. Thanks for this bonus! Of course the reason I purchased is for the rail and it does not disappoint, I can fit my full size Olight Valkary on it with dual switches and there is room to spare! Very Very nice! This grip is built very strong and the shape makes it the most comfortable grip I have had and I own 3 1911`s. Don`t worry about the fit as it fits perfectly and screws on perfectly tight locking solid on your frame. I recommend this quality product because you do not have to drill any holes in your favorite pistol.It comes with the necessary screws and allen wrench for the rail section but you do need to use your grip screws from your handle, maybe buy a new set if you want to color match as they are inexpensive. Purchase this system and you will have the best 1911 in your hand that you have held and you will be smiling!!!
